
The Court of Appeal has upheld the High Court’s ruling from March 18, 2024, confirming that Wu Chun Jin and their family were found in contempt of court.
The appellate judge emphasized that the injunction was clear and precise, leaving no room for misunderstanding about what they could or couldn’t do.
The ruling also confirmed that the defendants were guilty of contempt for violating the injunction, which prohibited actions like agreements and special shareholder meetings that could impact the original plaintiffs, Chan Wing Liang and his wife.
However, the court ruled that there wasn’t enough evidence to hold Wu Gui Qin personally responsible, so the High Court’s decision to dismiss charges against her remains in place.
